Two cadets from the Philippine Military Academy participated in the 14th Republic of Korea Air Force Academy International Cadet Week 2026 in Cheongju, South Korea, from October 19 to 24, 2026, joining delegates from 19 nations for leadership discussions, facility tours, and cultural exchanges.

Cadets Named in the PMA Delegation
According to the Philippine Military Academy Public Affairs Office, the two representatives were Aerocadet First Class John Raven G. Dela Peña and Aerocadet First Class Aldrin Jay G. Hussin. They were accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Edson Carlo M. Tadea PAF(GSC), Head of the PMA Department of Air Warfare.
Leadership Forum and Curriculum Exchange
During the International Cadets' Leadership Discussion Forum, the PMA cadets presented the Academy's officer development curriculum to their foreign counterparts. The forum provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on adaptive military leadership among cadets from the 19 participating nations.
ROKAFA Facilities, Fighter Group Visit, and Air Show
Beyond the forum, the delegation toured the Republic of Korea Air Force Academy's training facilities and visited the 29th Fighter Group. The cadets also attended the 2026 Sacheon Air Show as part of the week's program of activities.
PMA Cites International Exposure as Training Objective
The PMA said the participation forms part of its efforts to expose cadets to international military education and training environments. The exchanges also support the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Security Cooperation Engagement activities with like-minded nations, according to the Academy's public affairs office.
ROKAFA to Visit PMA in November 2026
The PMA said ROKAFA is among the foreign military academies scheduled to take part in the International Cadet Conference that the PMA will host in November 2026.
