Across the Philippines, expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. These conditions are primarily due to easterlies affecting the country.

Regional Forecasts

Luzon

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon should prepare for partly cloudy to cloudy skies with possible scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Residents are advised to monitor for updates and be ready to take precautions against localized flooding.

Visayas

The Visayas region can also expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. PAGASA advises the public to remain vigilant and take precautions against potential flash floods or landslides during periods of heavy rainfall.

Mindanao

Mindanao will experience similar weather conditions, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and the possibility of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and take necessary safety measures, particularly in areas identified as being at risk of flooding and landslides.

Tropical Cyclone Update

PAGASA is currently monitoring Tropical Storm Hagupit, located 1,165 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao (8.7°N, 136.9°E). The storm is currently outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It has maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour. It is moving westward at 20 kilometers per hour. While Hagupit is not directly affecting the Philippines at this time, PAGASA continues to monitor its track and intensity.

Wind and Coastal Conditions

The eastern section of Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds. The rest of the country can expect light to moderate winds. Coastal waters will be moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.2 to 2.5 meters.

Yesterday's maximum temperature recorded at the PAGASA station was 35.1°C, while the minimum temperature was 27.6°C. The maximum relative humidity was 78%, and the minimum was 52%.
