The Philippines can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms across the country, according to the latest forecast from PAGASA, issued at 4:00 AM on April 17, 2026, and valid until 4:00 AM tomorrow. The public is advised to take necessary precautions as severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods and landslides.

Luzon Weather Forecast

Metro Manila: Expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Rest of Luzon: Similar to Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with the possibility of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Visayas Weather Forecast

Across the Visayas, PAGASA forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Residents should be prepared for potential flash floods or landslides during these events.

Mindanao Weather Forecast

Typhoon Sinlaku

PAGASA is also monitoring Typhoon Sinlaku, which is currently located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).   • Eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon: Moderate to strong winds blowing from the east to southeast, with moderate to rough coastal waters (1.5 to 2.6 meters).
  • The rest of Luzon: Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast, resulting in slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 2.1 meters).
  • The rest of the country: Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to north, with slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 1.5 meters).

Temperature and Humidity

Yesterday, the maximum temperature recorded at the PAGASA Weather Station in Quezon City was 34.8°C at 3:00 PM, and the minimum temperature was 22.4°C at 5:00 AM. The relative humidity ranged from 41% to 76%.

Tidal Predictions for Manila Bay

According to NAMRIA, tidal predictions for Manila Bay are as follows:

  • Today: Low tide at 3:40 AM (0.24m), High tide at 9:55 AM (0.81m), Low tide at 4:30 PM (-0.01m), High tide at 11:03 PM (0.63m)
