Three children aged four to six years old were rescued and one suspect was arrested after operatives of the Philippine National Police Women and Children Protection Center (PNP-WCPC) conducted a coordinated anti-online sexual exploitation operation in Cavite on June 22, 2026.

The PNP confirmed that the rescued children have since been placed under proper care and protection following the operation, which was carried out through a court-issued warrant.

Warrants Served in Bacoor and Silang, Cavite

According to the PNP, law enforcement teams served a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data in Bacoor and Silang, Cavite, simultaneously with a victim location and rescue operation.

The suspect, known by the alias "Arnel," is a 27-year-old male security guard who was identified as a former neighbor of the victims. He was arrested during the implementation of the warrant.

Charges Filed Under Anti-OSAEC and Cybercrime Laws

The PNP said appropriate charges have been filed against the suspect for violations of Republic Act No. 11930, or the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Act, in relation to Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

PNP Chief Nartatez Cites Intensified Drive to Protect Children

PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the operation reflects the organization's heightened commitment to protecting children from online exploitation.

"Ang ganitong klase ng operasyon ay malinaw na patunay na hindi tayo titigil sa pagprotekta sa kabataan. Sa ilalim ng direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., mas pinalalakas natin ang ating mga hakbang laban sa online abuse at lahat ng uri ng pang-aabuso sa kabataan," Nartatez said.

Nartatez added that the PNP continues to strengthen its operational focus under its Focused Agenda, specifically through the Enhanced Managing Police Operations framework, to ensure that law enforcement actions remain swift, coordinated, and victim-centered.

Follow-Up Investigations Underway

The PNP assured the public that follow-up investigations are ongoing to identify possible links to other exploitation networks and to prevent further abuse. The operation is part of the government's sustained push for safer communities, aligned with the PNP's vision of "Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman."
