Security Assessment Covers Terminals and Cemetery Gate

During the inspection tour, General Nartatez evaluated police deployment, operational readiness, and security arrangements at the transport hubs, including an inspection of buses. The PNP-PIO said the Chief PNP also visited the Manila North Cemetery.

The assessments were aimed at ensuring the safety of travelers, commuters, and cemetery visitors throughout the holiday period, the PNP-PIO stated in a post shared on its official Facebook page, facebook.com/pnp.pio.

Inspections Tied to PNP Focused Agenda on Police Operations

The PNP-PIO said the initiative falls under the PNP Focused Agenda, specifically the Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) component, which calls for intensified police visibility and responsive security operations.

The effort reflects what the agency described as a proactive approach to preventing criminal activities and maintaining peace and order during Undas.

PNP Reaffirms Commitment to Public Safety

In its statement, the PNP said it "remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting lives and ensuring public safety," adding: "Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman."

What Travelers and Cemetery Visitors Can Expect

The PNP said the inspections were meant to keep travelers, commuters and cemetery visitors safe, through more visible police and responsive security operations, as people head to their home provinces and visit cemeteries over the Undas weekend.
