The Philippines can expect isolated thunderstorms across the country, according to the latest forecast from PAGASA issued at 4:00 AM on May 20, 2026, valid until 4:00 AM tomorrow. The easterlies are currently affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas, contributing to the potential for these weather disturbances.

Regional Forecasts

Luzon

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. These are expected to be caused by localized thunderstorms. The wind will be light to moderate, coming from the east to southeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 1.2 meters).

Visayas

The Visayas region, along with MIMAROPA and the Bicol Region, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. PAGASA warns of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in these areas.

Mindanao

Mindanao can expect slight to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to north. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate (0.6 to 1.2 meters). The general weather condition will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Yesterday's maximum temperature recorded at the PAGASA Weather Station in Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City, was 32.6°C at 2:00 PM. The minimum temperature was 26.5°C at 6:00 AM. The relative humidity ranged from a maximum of 86% at 5:00 AM to a minimum of 60% at 1:00 PM.

Wind and Coastal Water Conditions

Across Northern and Central Luzon, expect light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast, resulting in slight to moderate coastal waters with wave heights between 0.6 and 1.2 meters. Visayas and the remaining parts of Luzon will experience light to moderate winds from the east, also with slight to moderate coastal waters (0.6 to 1.2 meters). In Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate, coming from the northeast to north, with similar slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
