Peña's Final Message to the Troops

"As I leave you behind, remember that you are being molded as good Army soldiers. Once again, let me remind you that as leaders and commanders, you should lead with bravery according to your commitment in service to God, our country and our people. As followers, do not follow blindly. You should follow according to your commitment in service to God, our country and our people."

As part of the ceremony, the division presented a Command Plaque to Peña in recognition of his service as division commander, according to the 11ID. A Plaque of Appreciation was also presented to Mrs. Neri Peña.
