FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City — The Philippine Army's four-day Signal Family Symposium closed on October 23, 2026, with the Army's signal community focused on how integrated capabilities can help it dominate the information domain.
Held at the Ricarte Hall of the Philippine Army Officers' Clubhouse, the symposium carried the theme "Strengthening C4S Integration: Building a Resilient, Secure, and Interoperable Signal Community for Information Dominance."
Army cyber experts discussed pressing operational concerns, from equipment accountability to the practical cascading of Department of National Defense compliance circulars and the rollout of the Philippine Army Cyber Evaluation System, the Army's Public Affairs Office said in a press release on October 26.
According to the release, the symposium also strengthened collaboration and interoperability among the Army's Signal units, addressed emerging C4S challenges and operational gaps, and set common priorities for capability development.
"Communications and information systems must not only connect the Army, they must sharpen its ability to understand, decide, and act," Army Chief Lt. Gen. Donald M. Gumiran said in his command guidance.
Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Efren F. Morados delivered remarks on behalf of Gumiran at the closing ceremony, where he also received a token from Signal Regiment Commander Brig. Gen. Jamel P. Samonte and Col. Frederick T. Rebong, the Army's Assistant Chief of Staff for C4S.
